Year 5

Welcome back to Year 5!

We all have an exciting half term to enjoy, including our school trip to visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and participate in an educational workshop with their incredible staff, along with our English work on Macbeth - expect witches, battles, betrayals and more! Our second core text is Katherine Rundell’s novel, The Explorer,  which will be transporting us to the distant Amazon rainforest.

 

We will also be delving into the science of physical materials (solids, liquids and gas), the remarkable religion of Sikhism, and learning more about online safety and vectors in computing. FInally we will be continuing UK history after the end of Roman Britain, when we will find out what we can learn from the migration and settlement of the rich Anglo-Saxon & Norse cultures.
